The ones I could see looked like simple, higher-end hardtail mountain bikes – less trials bike-looking than what Danny MacAskill might ride if he ever came back to Frisco. They could be on Huffys too, IDK. No road bikes, that’s for sure.
This is a youth subculture with which I’m not familiar.

So yeah, I think I know what you mean when you urbanists tell me, “Young people aren’t driving anymore,” or “Young people don’t even want a driver license anymore.”
And you urbanists are telling me that the Great Recession has nothing to do with the decrease in the growth of driving, well that’s turning out to be wrong as well.
Who knows what the future will bring, is what I’m saying.

U.S. Driving at Highest Level Since 2007, New Data Show – Nearly Three Trillion Miles Traveled in 2013 Underscores Call for Greater Transportation Investment
WASHINGTON – New data released today by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) show that Americans drove nearly 3 trillion miles in 2013, the highest level in six years, confirming estimates released last year and supporting calls for greater investment in roads, bridges, transit, and pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure to accommodate growing traffic volumes…
“According to FHWA’s “Highway Statistics,” an annual compilation of data from state Departments of Transportation, drivers traveled 2.99 trillion miles in 2013, the highest annual total since 2007 and the fourth-highest since such recordkeeping began in 1936.
The new data also show the number of U.S. vehicles increased to 255.9 million from 253.6 million the previous year, the biggest single-year increase since 2011…

Uh Oh: “Substantially Lower” Prices for Some Tickets for the Exceedingly Unpopular America’s Cup Yacht MatchThursday, June 13th, 2013
Crowd estimates for some days of our so-called “Summer of Racing” have gone down more than two orders of magnitude from just last year.
Yes, that means that the estimates are now at less than 1% of the 500,000 per day that ineffectual San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was promising all the way back in 2012.
Here’s the news:
“We have decided to substantially lower our charter prices to benefit spectators who are seeking a unique and thrilling viewing experience of the races from prime positioning on the perimeter of the America’s Cup race course,” said Captain Stephan Sowash.
Of course most people won’t pay a dime to watch this unpopular “gentlemen’s match” It may or may not be broadcast on free TV for a zero or negative(!) broadcast fee. And some tickets have already been refunded (which didn’t cost the Larry Ellison people too much because how many people in the world would actually pay, really?)

Let’s see here, just as former(?) alcoholic Mayor and alcohol purveyor Gavin Newsom needed The Delancy Street Project and as former Kramer needed Jesse Jackson, Chris “The Sweet Stuff” Culliver, apparently, needs The Trevor Project.
This deal is just a win-win, baby, for Culliver and Trevor, right?
1. Did Chris Culliver “immediately” issue “both a written and publicly communicated apology for his remarks” about gays in the NFL, the “sweet stuff,” and other stuff? No, he did not.
2. Has Chris Culliver really apologized at all, you know, at this point? Some people think he hasn’t, just saying.
3. Did Chris Culliver “unilaterally” reach out “to The Trevor Project to seek guidance and education about the LGBTQ community through The Trevor Project’s renowned Trevor Lifeguard Workshop LGBTQ Training Program?” No. Hell no.
4. Hey, what’s wrong with this sentence? “Surprisingly, Chris has gay family members and close friends for whom he cares deeply.” Just asking.
5. Now this is an good example of what’s called damning with faint praise: “The Trevor Project is the nation’s leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people, ages 13-24.”
6. Are there really “…kids all over the country with his poster on their wall?” He’s that popular IRL? DNKT.
7. And oh, the graf starting with “In Chris’ own words…” did not come from Chris Culliver. Those words written down there are not “Chris’ own words.”
